CIMB Kwik Account

Like many hip people today, I do some online shopping sometimes. Not only there are more variety of items to choose from, most online retailers offer better price and greater discount compared to traditional stores. While some websites allow you to pay through your bank account, others will accept only credit card payment or payment merchants such as PayPal. So how do you pay without a credit card in hand? Pay using a debit card of course!

There are dozens of banks and debit cards available in the market but I prefer to use CIMB bank's Kwik account. With a Kwik account, you can use it to pay for online purchase or transfer and receive money using various means to anywhere in the world. I use my Kwik account primarily for online shopping. It works just like a debit or credit card whereby you get a 12 digit number and a CCV code which you can use for any online transactions. Apart from shopping, I also use my Kwik account to buy apps from Apple's App Store or Google Play Store and you even get rebates from CIMB during this promotion period. The possibilities are endless.

If you'd like a real debit card, you can always apply for the Kwik Card which is a physical debit card from your Kwik account and use it in any retail outlets. The card will cost you 10 ringgit but for the convenience, it's more than worth it. The CIMB Kwik account is great if you want to create a separate account from your regular savings or current account to do online shopping or payment and for added security. To learn more about CIMB Kwik and how to apply online, head on to their website now.

South City Plaza - Haven for mobile phone accessories

South City Plaza in Seri Kembangan is not exactly the first place you'd consider as a shopping destination. Except for Giant, one Marrybrown restaurant, one Subway outlet and a couple of stores you won't find anything unique or enticing there. In a typical day, South City Plaza will look more like a sleepy hollow than a shopping complex.

But when you go a few steps downstairs however, it's a whole different world down there. There you can find dozens of mobile phone accessories shop selling all kinds of phone accessories and spare part at a really affordable price. Mobile phone casing, housing, screen protector, battery, charger, you name it, it's all available.

You can also send your mobile phone for repair there and they can fix just about any problem you have with your mobile phone. I replaced my iPhone 4 battery last week for just 70 ringgit. If you prefer to buy just the battery and replace it yourself, it'll cost you RM20 less. New screen protector? Only 10 ringgit for all smartphone types. LCD replacement for your iPhone 4? About RM170. Brokem back cover? Only RM50 for that.

As you can see, most of the accessories and spare parts sold at South City Plaza basement level is even cheaper than at Low Yat Plaza since they buy in bulk. Next time you're looking for stuff for your phone or would like to send your phone for repair, you know where to go. South City Plaza on Foursquare.
After replacing the battery to my old iPhone 4, the phone feels brand new again. In term of battery life that is. Today I can use my iphone heavily from 7:30 am to 4:00 in the evening before going flat. Who needs a new iphone when you can just replace the battery, right?

Shopping Rantau Panjang

Rantau Panjang is one of the many popular shopping destinations in Kelantan apart from the state capital Kota Bharu, Wakaf Che Yeh or Pengkalan Kubor just to name a few.

Situated up north right on the border to Sungai Golok in Thailand, Rantau Panjang has been a shopping haven for visitors local or foreign especially for its duty free status. Believe it or not it's been 20 long years since I have last been here. It's not that I don't want to, it's just I don't feel the urge to come here before. Obviously, many things has changed since I last visited like there are many more shops and parking space are even harder to come by here.

However the one thing that didn't change much is the eateries here. The food is still cheap here and if you are not very particular with the hygiene here then this is the place to fill your tummy before doing some serious shopping.

The main attraction here are clothes and dresses of all shape, types and budget although most of them are still relatively cheap compared to say, KL or other major cities. Apart from that you can also find all kinds of household items on sale here including crockery, kitchenware, home furnishings, shoes and so much more.

If you're looking for cheap replica football jerseys then this is the right place to go. You'll be in jersey heaven looking at those jerseys of many of the top football clubs in the world like Liverpool F.C and Liverpool F.C reserves team. The price are basically fixed from RM28.00 onwards no matter how much you try to haggle.

I came looking for this particular track top. The original merchandise from Nike would cost me a cool 250 ringgit or more. This one starts from RM35.00. A bargain would be an understatement. Even in KL they would easily cost 10 ringgit more.

Being only the 3rd day from Raya, many of the shops here are still closed. Else the streets here would be packed with tourists and you'd had plenty more places to choose from and the price would be even cheaper during non-peak season.

Getting out of the duty free zone requires you to pass through this customs checkpoint. If you didn't buy a car-load of goods or merchandise then going home should be a breeze. Else you need to declare all your purchases and pay 15% tax on everything you bought. Getting a receipt for everything you bought would be a great help for you and the customs officer. Then again if you just bought a few things just for you yourself and your family then it should not be a problem.

Rantau Panjang is situated about 21 kilometers from Pasir Mas or about 40 kilometers from the state capital, Kota Bharu. Your visit to Kelantan will not be complete if you don't visit this place. Click on the Foursquare link below for exact location.
